CANNOT INSTALL 12.4.8

We've got an iPad Air (First version) with 12.4.7

Just got a notice it was unable to install 12.4.8 (the download itself was fine).

I checked the storage and we have over 5G free.

I deleted the download, and re-downloaded. Same error.

I RESET the device, deleting ALL data.

After I then set it up as "new" I tried again, same error.

Should we just stick with 12.4.7?

Have you tried updating through iTunes on your computer? iTunes will download the update, then install it on your iPad Air.

Fully charged, or on charge when you try to install? ( It will not install if the battery is at less than 50%)

Our desktop is Windows 10. I tried to download and install ITunes but I couldn't (I then read several Reviews with similar W10/itunes install issues.)

I guess we're stuck with our current IOS...

Have you tried updating through iTunes on your computer? iTunes will download the update, then install it on your iPad Air.

The iPad was plugged in and close to 100%.

Fully charged, or on charge when you try to install? ( It will not install if the battery is at less than 50%)

Did you try installing iTunes from the Windows Store or the Apple website? In either case, try the other method to see if it works.

I went to the Apple link and I believe it directed me then to the WinStore...I will try again, this time without being directed to the Wins Store (if possible).
