Fantastic photos Richard. I'd forgotten you had told me about this thread. Loved the horses and the bread stall especially.

Yesterday we visited Tate Modern and wandered around the exterior of the Shakespeare Globe Theatre. We then walked the Millennium footbridge and back to Blackfriars Station for the train home.
Blackfriars Station has been transformed into a steel and glass encasement of the entire bridge to form a railway station which spans the Thames. The southern entrance is verging on genius, putting access to Bankside from a railway so very close.
We got into Tate Modern just before the heavens opened! Coffee was the first item of enjoyment. The main G Floor restaurant has delicious coffee on offer, but the service is very slow!
I am posting some photos of the artwork under the favourite images thread. However, as a taster........

I found the shadows more interesting than the artwork - groups of differently coloured light tubes. Oh of course, shadow art!

Waiting for our train...

Thanks Andrew. You bet they do - also female voices are to be heard on the Tannoy, which lightens the mood.Another great series of photos Richard, thank you. Nice to see how they are modernizing the stations. Do they still have the loudspeaker announcements when the train is stationary, in a somewhat doom-laden voice, "mind the gap", "mind the gap"?

Thanks Johanna. No threats. The bridge is stable now.As always very interesting to see and read your detailed review. Your grandnephew certainly enjoys his stay.
I recognized Millenium Bridge without reading your comment. No threat of Death Eaters there? ;-)
