I recently used my Sony camera to record a video. It recorded in AVCHD. Is there an app that reads this for the ipad2? Or how do I go about getting it on to my Ipad2?

    Thanks,

There are a number of apps out there that will convert videos into a format that's compatible with the iPad. I use Handbrake - it's free and handles most formats, so give it a try and see if it can convert your files.

I don't know of anything for the iPad - all the conversion programs are for either the Mac or PC.

    What is the file extension?

I suppose you could try OPlayer to see if it will play the file without converting. There is a free lite version.
