can you help

I own a Sony Handycam which uses the recording format ACV HD and according to the guys at Apple this is recognised by my MAC (this I know already having downloaded before) but not by my IPad. Apparently the IPad wont import ACV High Def movie files. But they say there could be an App out there that can convert. is this true or is this just wishful thinking. Your advise would be welcomed. Chris.

I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

I saw your problem regarding video conversion. There are a number of PC applications that might be able to help in converting into a format suitable for the iPad. So I have moved your post to the Help section, where I think it might receive better attention.
