Just came back from Paris. Had wifi in the hotel and worked ok but to work on the 3G orange network I had to contact orange for then to activate the service and then paid for using in 3gig increments which cost around £30 if memory serves

I have used my iPad in Israel, Nigeria, Ghana, France, Holland and England. It has always worked flawlessly.

When you say all the functions, what are you really thinking about?

FaceTime is restricted in some parts of the world.

If you have a 3G service, you would need a roaming data plan.

Some apps like local shopping or restaurant apps are not international.

What specifically do you want to use that you are concerned might not work, and where are you going?
