Hi there. I have an ipad2 and my boyfriend has a Samsung galaxy. I have a SIM card in my iPad with Internet, and want to connect his tablet to mine through wifi, so he can use my Internet too. We have tried many times, but cannot get this right. Please can someone help?
Thank you

You need to enable the personal hotspot in e settings app.
He should Ben be able to find the wifi shared by your iPad.

Unfortunately, the iPad2 does not support tethering. Only the iPad3 and higher (and the Mini) have this function (with a carrier plan). There is no way to tether using the iPad2 as the hot spot. Sorry.

I don't see why it won't work - if your iPad is jail broken. I've never used MyWi 5 so I can't tell you how well it works on a jail broken iPad. But yes, it is a viable option (it is $19.99, USD, at Cydia).

Do know, however, that if your carrier discovers that you are using a tethering app (and have not paid them extra so you can tether), you may face sanctions from them up to and including cancellation of your plan (with the appropriate penalties). Just FYI...
