why is there no space invader game like the old arcade?

Well, a quick Google search revealed a minimum of two "space invader" apps for the iPad. See this search here (I used the search term "app space invader"): app space invader - Google Search

Have a look at those in the App Store. Good luck and happy searching!

Not sure if this would be to your liking, but I play both, they are: Infinity Gene and Warblade, they are well worth having in your collection.

I have Galaga, (very good) PAC Man(OK) and my son has a geometry wars and I've even seen some old Atari games also. Look those up in the app store and it will probably lead you to others that you might like.
