Where are my books?

I restored my new ipad after destroying my old one, and almost everything came up. Missing was my note and calendar entries which is no big deal.

But there are no books. I had 5-6 books and they still show in itunes but will not move to the new ipad.

Any ideas?

When you plug your iPad into your computer and start iTunes, check the Books tab and make sure it is set up to sync your books --

Did that but the books would not synch! Go figure.

I guess I for got to ask the most important question... were they iBooks from Apple or were they books acquired through another app like Kindle or Nook?

I think maybe you nailed it. They were not from Apple!
