Always 100%,I have an external power supply,so I am not trouble about the battery

Wow, all these folks at 100% - I'm amazed you have any retinas (eyes, not screen) left! It's typically at 25-30% for me, auto-brightness off as I don't think it does as good a job as it did on my original iPad - but maybe that's just me using it wrong ;) <shrug>

Well, the retina display on the new iPad is so nice to look at, that we can't help ourselves but to view it at 100%. Hehehe!

The auto-brightness setting seems to work well for me though.

Usually between 80 and 100. It depends where I am and what I'm doing. Auto brightness is always on as well.

About a 3rd, dont turn it up unless watching vids.

30%-40% with auto off. 100% when outside during the day.. Read somewhere that says to turn off the auto brightness to save battery..don't know why :shrug:

This. I cannot fathom how people keep it higher, esp. for mail or web pages that have white/lightish backgrounds.

Because we like things bright in our user preferences, we like shiny bright things, like iPads, silver buttons, diamonds, a bit like a magpie likes bright things :)
