What's new

What are you guys doing right NOW??? ;)

Going through a stash of new candy that I got at the imports store, including Dutch licorice, limoncello chocolate, marzipan cloaked in bittersweet chocolate. The licorice is firm and slightly salty. They weren't kidding about the "firm" part; I almost dislocated my jaw trying to chew a piece, lol.

I envy you having all those to choose from to eat as you please! Your description made my mouth water! Is the licorice black?

Yes, black licorice.

The funny thing is, I rarely buy chocolate, because I find it too sweet. But the flavors were too intriguing to pass up.

Mmmmm, BLACK my favourite! When you buy chocolate and make sure it is 80% cocoa you only need a tiny bit to fulfil your taste for it. And that goes for chocalholics! Do you still have the packing that tells you the percentage of cocoa?

I have the packaging, but it's imported chocolate, and those labels usually don't feature percentages like I've seen on American ones. I've not tried the Italian limoncello (dark chocolate) one, but have had some of the German marzipan one (bittersweet chocolate) and yum! I usually get bittersweet and/or dark chocolate because I find them less cloying. I also had a bit of a British one, but it was too sweet.

MARZIPAN???oooohhhhh you are really making me crazy! I haven't had marzipan for years, but I can still smell it and remember too well what it tastes like! I feel like one of those cartoon characters whose eye's pop out and roll around and ny tongue out and panting! :-) I don't think I can hear anymore of what you are eating or thinking of eating!! I will meditate for awhile and get to the point where I have smelled, tasted and eaten some of it myself!! Ha ha denial of the truth can be overcome if your imagination is strong enough. :-)

Absolutely!it is healthier for me. That is why I am so glad I live in the bush and don't have access to all of the things I would definitely over indulge in. You on the other hand sound very able to pace yourself!! :-) sorry for the double answer. When I first did it it didn't show up so I figured I messed up!! Now I know I messed up! :-) one of the super moderators can delete one of these. I tried but can't do it, I am just a little peon at the mercy of those wonderful people who know how to fix stuff when I mess up! :-)

I overindulge at times, but there's a natural cutoff for me with sweets just because it's too cloying to have too much. I haven't even broken open the wine gums (three kinds) or ginger candy yet, lol.

Aw thanks, that is VERY generous of you. I will just lay here a moan and groan! Then I will have a dream tonight that I ate everything with you and wake up satiated! Honest, that really does happen. What fun!

I just had a walk to the beach with my happy dog to meet my sweety off of the boat.We saw the Pinks are in!So he imidiatly phoned the fly fishing club to spread the good news. it's an every two year run but we haven't spotted them in 4 years. When we got home I got my surprise.Ecuadors Arriba milk chocolate which is the wild been rather than a hybrid bean.Very delicious. And I am an addict and will eat the whole thing.
