My daughter was finally convinced to use an iPad. She'll take my iPad 2. She thinks she won't need more than 16 GB. (I hope she'll never regret it.)
I'm going to erase my content today and give it to her to set it up.
Good for you Johanna. I agree with your daughter, my iPad 2 is only 16 GB and in 2 years I still have 10+ GB free with 44 apps and currently 120 photographs on my camera roll. I delete Google now and then and reload the app because even if you delete the search history it gradually uses more and more memory. I just deleted the Google search history and "Usage" shows Google using 446 MB, delete and reinstall Google and it now is only using 42.9 MB.
Anyone know why?
Not really. I deleted and downloaded a few apps and compared their usage. As long as I don't open them, they need less space than before. As soon as I use them, the usage goes back to the amount I had before.
Afterwards I saw that there are apps I haven't used for a long time and ended up deleting these.

Not true Johanna, I'll see your red sunset and raise you a red sunrise. I used Google several times after the re-install and the usage stays much the same as before. It does not go back to the usage before the delete. It has always been this way so please believe me, I just don't know why.
I don't use Google. I deleted and reinstalled the Starwalk app - where I wonder which data it had stored -, a dictionary app and the Times. It was the way I posted with these.

I wish it was that easy for us! We did have stores here but they have since closed down, I'm not sure if there are any left at all.
Not in Australia, there,aren't. I believe the closest one is in Hong Kong. The Disney Store has a free app, you can order online if you choose.
