What are you guys doing right NOW??? ;)

Just got back from Gatwick.

At the airport, our car parking ticket had our registration number on it! Very high tech.

We noticed that also when we went to the airport here.......

When we went to pay for our parking at one of those pay stations, we found several paid tickets people had left there.

We thought maybe they put the rego on to stop others from using these paid tickets. ;)

Absolutely correct leelai, our hospitals charge for parking which is $3.00 for an hour or $7.00 for all day, pay and display (leave on the dashboard.) You should see the number of times an "all day" ticket changes hands.

Ooh.....just hate when that happens! And you missed part of the game too! Drat!

Well I'm glad you didn't lose it altogether because of damage somewhere......always a headache resetting everything and takes time!

Sooo glad were back online! :D

Such a headache...on top of it we lost the game to the White Sox! :(

All this happening within just a few hours! :-(

That's Michigan weather for you!! :)

Hospitals in Ottawa charge $3.50 per 1/2 hour to a maximum $13.00. Outrageous.

Thought as much! Wow....very clever!

I wish our hospitals only charged that much.....here if you spend a few hours, you can pay about $30 and up for a day.

Gone are the days of the old parking meter where the next to park could use the time left. It's just pay, pay, pay! ;)

Our hospital system does not charge for parking, but does have valet service if needed.

We have "valet" service too ski, we dial 911 and they send a nice truck to pick you up, it's free and you don't have to pay for parking. You have no idea how many people abuse this system!

LOL--I guess we have that service here as well, including flight service depending on the level of need! :)

I forgot about our Ornge Air Ambulances. That is NOT my spelling mistake, the helicopters are orange but the service is called Ornge. It was claimed, I suppose after all the aircraft were lettered and the printing was completed, that the name Ornge was intended to make the service "unique" in a way. It was not a mistake...oh....and it was also not a mistake that all the orange helicopters they bought were too small to perform CPR while flying.;(

I've been inside the 'AgustaWestland' helo that flies from the Ornge base in Ottawa. It's an advanced care lifting body equipped to provide intensive care during patient transport.

Hey everyone, I know I have been missing for 10 days. The hospital did every possible thing they could do to mess me around. All of a dr.s ego being bigger than there brains! I won't use the words I want to use, this being a family friendly place which is my favourite place to come everyday. Anyway, needless to say I signed myself out against Dr 's orders ! I couldn't blow that popcorn stand fast enough! Needless to say I have learned a very important lesson! Sorry this doesn't sound funny but I always check this site out to find myself laughing like crazy, out loud all alone - now who wouldn't want that! If you go to hospital in crisis, as soon as the crisis is over get the heck out - even if you have to sign yourself out against your hospital Dr 's orders unless its the a Dr YOU know of your own physicians. Then you won't have to let them make a guinea pig out of you! UNLESS IN CRISIS ! DO NOT GO UP TO THE WARDS! IF YOU LIVE IN MR BC !

I would love to know - would anyone take even one bite of this? Just yes or no will do! I would be very happy for lot's of people to take part.

This isn't part of the poll but imagined being sick and in crisis enough to call 911 , you are in real crisis trying to just stay alive, and they plop that down at nose and eye level? Now that's a joke! Also I will be able when I am not so weak to tell you how I honest to God went through a real time "One Flew over the Cukoo's Nest" and that part is as funny as anything I saw or read Ken Kesey's book. Unfortunately he has already passed because I would have been in touch with him somehow,! Want to know some thing strange and unusual? The woman in the bed next to me not only knew Ken Kesey but stayed in his remote cabin, apparently he was a recluse and never spent any of the money he got from the book or movie. If anyone knows different please let me know. OK you super Moderators etc, please if you think this needs to go somewhere else on the Forum I have no problem! It has taken me six hrs to just put this up, I as weak as a new born and this has taken me all day a minute at a time to type.
PLEASE could you please do with it as you see best! Thank you for your help. This is me signing off. I am so glad to be home! And I can talk to all my friends and catch up on there post! Thanks, again, Squib.

Hi Squib, so glad to see you are back.

I did move your post also, your friends here weren't likely to see it as much in that thread, so it's much better here.

Take care and get well real soon!

Hey there squib:)

Gatwick cost us £12.00 for 2.5 hours' parking which was OK.

The hospitals in the administrative area of Bromley - the 3 that are left - charge £2.00 per hour. The parking police are red hot and will slap a £50 penalty on overstayers within minutes of the breach. The Farnborough hospital is next to a large Sainsbury where parking is free up to 8.30 am. We get to my wife's clinic at 6.00 am. I park in Sainsbury. We are back to the car before the free parking ends, but go shopping and get extended free parking for our custom.
