Added to original post. It's sitting on top of my MacBook Pro. The only downside is that it doesn't have magnets, so I have to manually put the iPad to sleep.

There's a lot of active interest in your case, Moonlit. At first, I wondered whether the case could be customised with quotes.

I'm thinking, a neat touch would be to add something to the spine, so that the mini could be kept in a bookcase.
