It's as bad as losing a family member, because they are family.

He was part of our little family and in a way he's better off now. He can chase flies, jump around to his hearts content which is more than he could do in the last week of his life. I'm so glad he slept in the sun yesterday before it went downhill today. I'm so glad to be able to have my friends on here to talk to! I can't stop crying.
