What's new

What are you guys doing right NOW??? ;)

Not even 3 hours for that distance doesn't sound like not pushing yourself much, especially when I think of the mile with Gypsy, which should take longer than the rest. . .

Yes, well I guess I still expect myself to walk the way I did when younger, and not all that much younger.. :)

When we were younger we went cycling with our collie and when we got back his poor paws were all sore. So I know exactly what you mean. Dogs don't complain, they just follow blindly. It's the difference between cats and dogs. Dogs do, cats allow us to think they do

I had some plans to get a dog trailer for my trike (recumbent tricycle), but have had to put it off due to finances. I figured I could cycle to the further locations Gyspy would like, then take a walk, or let her run next to the bike until tired, then ride. The best units are also strollers, making it possible to get a bit more exercise while I walk, but take Gypsy further by letting her ride part of the way.

Oh well, I haven't given up. Maybe I can swing it next year, or I'll find a fantastic deal on eBay or Craigslist. She's a large dog, so the cheaper, smaller trailers won't do.

Thank you for adding recumbent tricycle. Trike is usually understood as motor trike here. It would be funny to imagine that with a dog trailer behind it.

Certainly a good idea. Did you ever try something similar with her, just to see if she likes it?

That's why I added it. The last time I just said trike your, or someone else's comment made me realize it was misunderstood. It can go either way here, though saying cycle later down almost always means pedaling.

I havent tried anything to see how she will behave. I think she will like it, but I also think that getting her to enter the contraption will take some convincing the first few times.

I am chilling out... and practicing the art of stealing candy from the candy jar. The last time my brother tried, he got his hand stuck. :)

Half way to work. It's dark and cold outside. I see a crescent moon to the east and no lights around except our headlights stretching out into the empty desert.

Of the 8 in the van only the driver and me are awake, I can't sleep in a car, so these are my mornings.
