Recovering from a close call with the Apple Store. Watched another review of the Apple Watch Ultra, and found myself at the buy button in the Apple Store. Stopped only after I re-checked my credit card limit, and asked myself (again) why I needed this. I don't, of course. But I really like some of the extra features.

What features?

* The action button that can do things you want it to do. Including launching shortcuts, if rumors are to be believed.
* Much better battery life.
* Brighter screen. Much brighter. Even now it can be hard to read the screen on extra bright days.
* More reliable GPS (thought the current watch is pretty good most of the time).
* The new compass faces. (because cool!!!)
* Improved audio, both speakers and mic.

But I can't quite convince myself these features are worth the extra $400. And my current watch is less than two years old, so there is that.
