I've returned from what I consider to have been an interesting and productive outing to the shops. Here's why.....
I picked up a bargain at Smiths bookshop. It is a weighty book on the history of Britain. Original price £30.00 Reduced twice to a final till price of £5.00!

I then tinkered with an iPad Mini at the Apple store. I left the iPadforum website open in Safari. I was a little frustrated in that I could not leave a bookmark or home screen shortcut
As it was showing and damp, I boarded the first bus to travel 2 stops towards home to save time. The bus had to wait at the stop while loads of primary school kids and their teachers disembarked from the entire upper deck!
Hey ho!

Just finished putting together 2 gallons of veggie soup, now it just has to simmer for a couple of hours and let the flavors combine. Believe me...it tastes better than kale juice....![]()
Unless it's Kale soup!![]()

Kaykaykay said:Lol. Just me, but I'll take cooked kale (like in soup) over raw kale (like in juice). Broccoli soup? Yum. Broccoli juice? Please beam it over to someone else's glass.
The idea behind juicing, though, is to preserve the nutrients destroyed by cooking. For that, my husband has two juicers that are supposed to juice without creating heat (at least exposing the produce to heat).
Adding a link in case anyone is interested in juicing, even if not something as icky as kale:

Whatever you drink, I drink to your health.
