It's official! The TV is getting couriers to bobs and then he's bringing it down!

Nathan, is that Aussie slang? I don't understand a word of that.

I'm guessing that Bob is a good friend. Why couldn't the courier bring the TV directly to your place, Nathan?

Sitting down and stunned by hearing my wonderful Aunt that I loved dearly has passed. :(

The Kleenex boxes in my house has been replenished too many times these past few months for saying good bye to family. It's never easy to say good bye to those you love.

Coming in late, Carol, but sorry to hear of your sadness. Again. Take care yourself. The sun will peep out soon!

Incredible when you think a gallon of gas cost 50c in 1966 when I came to Canada, a pack of cigarettes cost the same. To compare today's cost you have to compare unit costs with your income. Example: As a mechanic I was making an average of $250/week so I could buy 500 gallons of gas with one weeks pay, so today with gas at say $ 1.28/ltr or $ 5.70/gal I would have to earn $5.70 x 500 = $ 2,848/week for gas to be the 'same' price today.

You can use the same formula to compare any price you wish, but a 500ml bottle of water at the convenience store for $1.00 still costs more than gasoline.
