Today we are experiencing, what snow can do. Wind is blowing with about 70 km/h, there are massive snowdrifts on the streets. Cars get stuck or slide Off the road. Since the day's begun, our fire brigade had to help at least three car-drivers that tried to drive on closed roads.

I'm expecting both my children to come home from Vienna. But the conditions are very bad. I suspect they won't be able to drive home.

I hope that the roads into your village will be open by the time your children get there, and that their trip will not have been too traumatic.

Just think....if 300,000 of us had shown up for the Kaiserschmarren, our body heat alone would have taken care of the snow. :D :D

That is correct. If a staff writer / reporter is assigned then it's all work and no or little play. No time for it either since you're constantly updating social media during preparation of the feature material. If you're freelancing it's less restrictive because you're paid for what you produce.

Three - four times a year I pay my way to events that interest me professionally but I have no interest in covering for work.

I wouldn't pay for Macworld. I'm not sure there are any trade shows I'd pay for. I have friends in the wine biz and have tagged along for a couple of wine shows, and that was about as good as it got. I've been to textile trade shows because of family business, but those are super boring -- so happy I avoided that line of work.

Cruise is right. Did you see I bought my baby an iphone 4? Lets hope the snow doesn't delay it's delivery. She's already looking at cases with leopard, zebra or paw prints on them. She wanted a white one but they were way above her pocket.

I did see your post and that she also was thinking of the Nokia!! (((Gasp)))

I know, I know! It would have been worse if she had looked at the Samsung Galaxy S3!!!!!!! Running away........ Screaming.........

The opposition! Lol. I convinced her that staying with Apple was in her best interests and besides 700+ apps were at her disposal.

None of her PAYG phones have lasted long. Best to go with the greatest phone in the world! I'm not biased at all!

LOL--I do have to say...the screen is a nice size on the iPhone and also the Samsung. I know...(shock)! However, just recently I had a droid phone which worked well for me before it croaked. Love the speed of the iPhone and the transfer of apps from one to the other...it is just so convenient.

Your daughter would have had to start from the beginning in collecting apps had she gone with the droid collection. Smart move for her!! :)

Yes, that would have worked. ;-) My kids were getting home safely anyway. :-D

Updating my current what is it challenge.

Those of you familiar with Oriental connections are recommended to try and solve the challenge :)

Just went to Staples. Left iPF running on one of their iPad minis, of course.

Bought and installed a wireless network card for my PC. Now my network is almost completely wireless.
