It's fairly close. It's on the opposite side of the river, at Thames House by Lambeth Bridge. See bottom right of image. The crash sit is at the top edge, left hand end.

Thank you Richard. I visualize London in the big picture. Appreciate you pointing the way.

I think the fog at the time was a definite factor.

AA. Sorry, I couldn't complete my reply. Roy Rob supplied an image which shows the MI6, Govt Secret Service Intelligence, building quite close to the crash site.

Yes, very sad accident. Do I take it that the second person was on the ground and debris/helicopter killed him. The pilot seems to be very experienced.

Loved your photo Gab. Unfortunately, I was at work so didn't see it then. Yugh. Certainly seems thick to me. Looks like we are getting it Friday. Snow shoes? Don't have any. 4x4 should be able to get me to work (unfortunately).

I'm very happy to say that the weather here in Florida will be returning to some form of normalcy. We have had ten days of low to mid 80's F. Now I know your saying what's he complaining about? The temps here are running 10 -15 degrees above normal. I live in a sub-tropical zone where it is in the low to mid nineties six to eight months out of the year and when it gets cool it's a pleasure. We will be returning to the 60's And 70's for at least a week, and 50's at night.

If I went to the beach after work, I'd need a chain saw to cut a hole in the ice.
