VLC sound

My vlc player on my iPad 2 will not play sound, but it does show the picture. Any idea?

The Ipad ahs 2 volume control switches. One is for system sounds which you probably have muted. To the right of the volume control buttons, is a switch the toggles tot he right and the left. Move it to the right to unmute. Then re-launch vlc palyer.
