hi

as an alternative to downloading a film/programme onto the computer and then transferring it to the ipad via itunes I thought I would try one of these camera connection kits.

It arrived today and I transferred a film onto the memory stick, attached it to the cck and attached that to my ipad.

Unfortunately a message popped up saying that ....

CANNOT USE DEVICE. THE CONNECTED USB DEVICE REQUIRES TOO MUCH POWER.

can some one explain why it won't work..and is there anything I can do to boost the 'power'

My ipad is an ipad 1 and I was using a Kingston 4gb stick.

thanks.

You can't boost the power and you can't play movies like that with a stock iPad. Have you thought of downloading the movie directly from iTunes to the iPad without using the computer as an intermediary step?

that's the other option I suppose.
what I don't understand is how people out there can get the cck to work !!!! if they are to be believed at any rate.
