Hi Guys,

Since up grading my OS to 6.1.3 my Ipad2 can no longer stay connected to the wifi in my home.

I have a Dlink Dir 655 n router.

I have rebooted the IPad soft and hard.

I tried the reset network settings on the Ipad.

I rebooted the D link router and Motorola Modem.

I changed channels on the dlink router form 7 to 5 to 8 and 11 and no joy.

What else can I try?

Thank you.

Verify your ipad can connect ok to other free access points, McDonald's, panera to make sure the
Wifi card is ok.
If the card works fine, add the check your router. Make your not losing power

I am having this same issue with my Dlink N900 dir-855l router. My ipad will only work when standing right next to the router. Ipad has no issues connecting to other wifi networks. I have rebooted both the router and ipad a number of times. Reset the network settings on the ipad. Updated the firmware on the router. But still no luck. Any thoughts on a fix?

Try moving the router to high ground or consider buying a high gain antenna. Sounds like you can't get a strong signal

No, you won't buy (and can't buy) a high gain antenna for the iPad. What is being talked about is installing a high-gain antenna on the router. Hopefully, that'll help boost the signal so your iPad can detect it.
