Updating iOS from 10.3.3

I am trying to to update from iOS 10.3.3 but get the message that "Software is already updated"
I ned to update to iOS 12 to install severel software apps.
What do I have to do ?

Sounds like you may have a 4th generation iPad. They can not be updated past iOS 10.

Oh, - that means I can not install all apps I want. My modell is MD513KN/A
