Do i need a computer to update my ipad or is there a way on my ipad.

Yes, currently you do need a computer however, when iOS 5 is released to the general public and you have the first incarnation loaded via a computer you will be able to update without a separate computer.

I try to update when theres an update out. I just thought there should be an option for those who buy an ipad instead of a computer isnt this the reason why they were invented ?
