Finally upgrading from first gen Ipad to IpadPro what is the best way to transfer old ipad content to new ipadpro oviously the old ipad stopped updating youngs ago so way out of date oviously I want to keep book marks and passwords

Hello - first, do you really have a 2010 first generation iPad? The maximum iOS that it could be taken to was 5.1.1 (up to 18.3.1 now - assume your 'new' iPadPro is at or near that version?). Second, below is a google generated description of one way to hopefully get your 'compatible' data onto your new device - I've used this method on about 8 iPads for my wife and I since 2011.

Now, I'm assuming that you've made iCloud backups of the old iPad? If not, you'll need an Apple Account (use to be called an Apple ID), both devices on Wi-Fi and signed in - tell us if the process succeeded or ask more questions if you remain confused. Good luck - Dave

Hi Dave my ipad is ipad air with software 12.5.7 won’t update anymore and won’t work on a lot of sites because software too old will it transfer my passwords and saved bookmarks as it’s an older safari

Well, you must have the first iPad Air (I had the second for a while) according the the Wiki chart below - for starters backup your iPad Air to the Cloud and follow the directions in my first post. Dave
