I don't get it. Why don't you ask you local providers (Du, Etisalat)?

Because I'm in the United Kingdom, not the United Arab Emirates. Quite a long way apart, and, seeing as I know there are some people on this forum who travel in that part of the world, I thought they might be able to provide some advice from experience.
