How do you create US itunes account without using credit card? I'm from JAPAN and i'd like to create one, so that i could purchase books from ibookstore.

Making a US itunes account is the only way, but i don't have a US credit card. How is that?

On my last tour I purchased an iTunes card in the US.
Might also be able to purchase a US Giftcard...

You don't need credit card if you want to download only free apps/books. You should enter US appstore and choose free app. When trying to download it, you'll be given 2 options - to sign in with existing account (which is Japanese, I think) or to create a new one. Choose to second option - there you can choose "none" as type of payment.

What happens when it comes to syncing? If I make iTunes acc (U. S. one) can I keep on iPad apps purchased in each store? Itunes are really confusing me...

You will just need to log in using your US account when you are Connected to iTunes on your computer.
