tripod for ipad

there are now photo apps that allow shutter control via, volume button, ipod earbud control, and even by voice, which certainly help when taking pics w/ipad. but a detachable tripod attachment accessory would help immeasurably. anybody have knowledge of the development of such an accessory? or, know of any DIY accessories? DIY stuff can be great, btw. 2 years after the fact i still use, exclusively, coat hanger ipad stands that i made in 5 minutes! (video still on you tube)
