This ipad hasn't been backed up

I got this message today. What does this mean? I sync it wirelessly every day. Do I have to do something else?

Syncronizing is not the same as doing a backup.
Backup can be set up in Settings, iCloud, Memory (?) and Backup - there it will backup also wirelessly. (sorry, OS in German)
