Ahhhh....... yet another example of the desperate individuals who take things that don't belong to them. My 1st generation Ipad was stolen... it does have a password, but i know it can be easily reset. I am in trouble? Anyone?

Well your data is safe because there's no way past your password, but it can simply be set up as a new device, in which case the thief has his own iPad, and there's nothing you can do about it.

Exactly. This is why I always tell people to use a lock code, it only take a few seconds for the owner to open the device, yet it protects your data from everyone else.

The majority of the time thieves steal iPads, iPhones and such to sell them. They couldn't care less about your data.
