I have an iPad 2. I'm looking for a good speech to text app. I've tried Dragon Dictation (among others) with no luck. I realize that no app of this kind is perfect, but there are times when I'll be speaking, and when I stop it'll just text out two or three words. I don't know what the problem is. Maybe I need to get a microphone. At any rate, can someone suggest a good speech to text app?

I use the built-in speech recognition... I was quite satisfied with it...

Where is there text to speech that's built in on an iPad 2?

Uhm, it's not really text to speech, other way around. It's in General>Accessbility>Speak Selection

Got it. I know about that. Thanks for your help.

Try dictating just one sentence at a time, no more than a dozen or so words. The ipad3 dictation thingie works better that way.
