I hate this but I can no longer use the swipe from the bottom left like I used to. It often seems to be in the way as well. I thought it was just coincidence but I’ve just seen the on screen “button” move by itself! Another irritating OS26 “feature”.

Edit: I should have said I find using the physical buttons awkward to use fir taking screenshots.

If you have Multi Screens on, swipe to take a screenshot does not work, but swiping with an Apple Pencil does. If you temporarily revert back to single screen mode, it works as before.

If you have Siri turned on, you can say "Hey Siri, take screen shot", and it will.

Note; If you phone is nearby you might end up taking a screenshot on it instead, like I just did.

It's also possible to take screenshots using Shorcut. Though you end up with the shortcut progress indicator at the top, this gives you all kinds of supper powers as what to do with the screenshot afterwards.

Here is a quick example I did just prove it was possible before I stuck my foot in my mouth. It's meant to be added to the Control Center.

Note; I added a Save to Photos after the Mark up action after taking the below screenshot. Otherwise the screenshot never gets saved.
