It I type in, say, 'drywall mud' in the Safari Google window, choose a video from the search results page and watch it, how do I return to the search results page from the video page without using the home button and reopening Safari?
Sorry, obviously a noob as this is asked in the wrong place.

You can not do that. The home button always returns you to the spring board (or launch pad).

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

If you are on IOS5 and above you can just do the 4 finger swipe across the page to go back to Safari, you can also do the 4 finger swipe up to view your multi task bar and select the safari app again here. Hope this helps!

Thank you leelia, you are very correct. I made the mistake of thinking in iPhone and iPod Touch terms instead of in iPad terms. I'll try not to make that mistake again.

Yes I can see how that can happen, sometimes I just go brain dead on some things I know. It happens. :)
