It looks like Red Bull Media House has a smash hit on its hands with newly released iOS game Red Bull Air Race - The Game, announcing today that it has already managed to shift more than 3 million downloads in 10 days.
The game has been in the top 10 racing games download charts in more than 100 countries worldwide.
The free-to-play jet-propelled arcade racing game brings the world’s fastest motor sport series - the Red Bull Air Race World Championship to iPads and iPhones, being the official game of the 2014 Championship.
Kicking off with pilot training camp in Brazil, would-be pilots train for the racing season before starting the career mode to become Red Bull Air Race World Champion, competing in eight different locations around the world.
All the courses in the game are based on the original real-life courses, and can be unlocked gradually, with six different aircraft to choose from to pilot. You can also paint and upgrade your plane in the virtual hangar.
Gameplay modes include Matchup, where players are challenged by the 23 pilots taking part in the current Red Bull Air Race World Championship, in either Master Class or Challenger Class.
There’s also a global Tournament mode, where players can face off against players from around the world. New events will also be added every week. Looking at this video makes you want to go and see the real thing!
