Pre installed

Im sure there must be a lot of people who will be able to offer advice on how to free up storage space.
I have an ipad2 on ios5.1 I would dearly love to rid it of pre installed apps and redundant software like language packs etc: can anyone point me in the right direction?

You can't get rid of preinstalled apps but you can hide them, look here:
