Please help - itunes/desktop issue

My computer crashed a couple weeks ago -all my music, photos, etc was also on my ipad - when I had a new hard drive inserted in my desktop - I down loaded iTunes - is there a way to transfer all my music, photos from my ipad to my computer - when I plug in my ipad to my PC I just get the iTunes home screen - thank you from a novice goof

Let's start with the easy stuff. To transfer your photographs, plug in your iPad, close iTunes if it starts automatically, then right click on your iPad in Windows Explorer. One of the options will be to transfer your photographs. You can choose whether to delete them from the iPad at this point (not recommended).

There is a program - Disk Aid - which will do the job.
