Playing TV Shows

When I try to watch programs on Prime or Netflix, I get as far as the play button. Then after that, the circling arrow just goes around and around. This was never the case until about a week ago. Before thgat there was no problem. Any ideas?

You could try a forced restart of your iPad. Just hold the Home and Power buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo reappears and the device restarts.
If that fails to help, you could try restarting or even resetting your router.

This was already tried and it worked.
