I use my Ipad mostly for reading books, but want to load photos from my PC to take on a trip. How do I do that?

If you have a large number of photos that you want to take, then the easiest way is to use iTunes and synch them with your iPad. If it's just one or two, it's probably easier to email them to yourself and collect them on the iPad.

A third alternative is to use a third party app, such as GoodReader, and then you can transfer them using WiFi and without involving iTunes at all.
