photo location on iPad ?

I will post this here although I believe this applies to iPad in general... a beginner's question: where are my photos located?? if I go to Settings --> About , I can see I have 5 photos in my iPad. However, if I go to the Photos app I can see only 2... so where are the other 3??

Look on your home screen for an app called photos, with a yellow flower on the app icon. You will find them there.

Check the tabs at the top (photo stream, etc.) there may be some photos in there that's it's counting.
