Pages help on i pad 4

Sorry if this is in the wrong place....
I'm using Pages on my I pad, and am having a bit of difficulty...
I am unable to group objects, as when objects are selected, the only options in the 'toolbar' that appears are "copy, paste or delete" ...
Also, when trying to lock objects, sometimes the .'lock' option is there, and sometimes not...
It's probably all very simple, but reading the Pages help and googling didn't give me any help at all.

Can anyone give me an idiots guide, and please be very gentle, I'm very un technological indeed, despite bing in love with my I pad!

If you want to group apps then focus on a single app and put it on other app.Then select name.

Hi,

Sorry I didn't make it clear, I'm talking about using the 'Pages' app, and trying to group objects within a document.
As said, I can select the objects, but the 'group' option doesn't appear as it should (according to Pages help!)
