Office building makes Verizon signal weak

I work in a large office building with no wireless network. I have Verizon on my iPad and, on a good day, can get
only 2 bars due to the size of the building. Sometimes, no bars at all. Any suggestions on a way to increase my
iPad's ability to pick up a Verizon signal? Is there a setting to adjust or antennae accessory available? Many Thanks!

It's probably the result of the amount of steel in the building between you and the nearest Verizon cell tower.

The signal is better when I am near an outside window. However, the job requires I move from room to room which is why I bought the Verizon wireless iPad. There's got to be some way to increase the ability of my iPad to get a signal.

They make those micro-cell things for use in homes and stuff...but putting it in an office building? It seems that in your environment you need someone else to be worried about wireless signals getting in there. I don't see much you, as an individual, can do to impact the situation. It's a question of getting signal into the interior of an office building...that's not an easy problem to address unless you are willing to make changes in infrastructure, but it can be done. It is not really an iPad issue, either, as a cell phone would have the same issues.

I think that this is a problem that the building manager would have to handle.

You could always file a coverage complaint ticket with Verizon and see what they'll do for ya.
