Not able to add, edit or delete contacts in my "contacts" app since I installed iOS 5

I am not being able to edit, add, or delete my contacts on the contacts app. I don't see the "+" or the "edit" botons like before I installed the software update. For example, I have a contact with their phone number but can't add her email. I wanted to delete her and then add her again in order to input all her info, but can't do that either :/

Help please!

Well, I've not had that problem with my upgrade.

So, may I suggest you try the old standards - a restart or a reset (or both!):

Restart: Hold down the power button until the power off slider appears. Slide it off. When the iPad finishes shutting down, hold down the power button again until the Apple logo appears.

Reset: Hold both the power and home buttons until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo then appears (the slide to unlock screen may or may not appear). Once the logo appears, release the buttons. After a time, your homescreen will appear. Please note that it may take some time for the Apple logo to appear or for your homescreen to appear (or both). This is normal. Eventually, the homescreen will appear.

It's surprising at how often this helps.

Of course, if it doesn't help, let us know and we'll try to figure something else out. Good luck.

Thank you Leelai! As you suspected the "contacts" was off under iCloud, I just don't use iCloud at all. But now that I switched it on, it works normal :)
