No Sim card notice

Why cannot I not connect consistently to the ATT net work. My pad says I do no have sim card, put it worried fine earlier today (in Phoenix) in LA it says no SIM card. Worked ok these last months. Hmmm. Answers?

Did I mess a settings button up?
