My Ipad is showing No Service so far today. Is this an issue with the Rogers 3G network or an Ipad problem. Thanks.

OK - so I'm in Scotland and can't really comment on the 3G service in Ontario, but here the base stations are occasionally down for servicing. So, I've experienced that problem too. To check out if this is really the problem, you can go to 'Settings', 'Carrier' and, after a few seconds, the iPad will show you all the networks that are available where you are. Of course, you'll not be able to use these networks (unless you are roaming), but at least you'll be able to see if the Rogers 3G network is being received by the iPad. If there are no networks listed (it can take a minute or two sometimes for the iPad to list them), then I suspect there is a problem, but if there are other networks and no Rogers - I guess the basestation is down. If Rogers is listed, perhaps you haven't paid your bill ;-)

Good luck in sorting this out.

With computers the first thing you have to ask yourself is, is it hardware, software or wetware?
With the Internet you need to ask, is it my machine, my router or my ISP.

I'm lucky as I downloaded a wireless scanning app before apple pulled most of them from the AppStore.

A quick tap reveals if I'm connected to my router, but it's also useful when I'm out and want to connect to another network.

Don't know if such apps are now available and perhaps someone could recommend a good one.
