Newbie from UK - better to by from Ipad store or elsewhere?

Hi all, I'm from Northern Ireland UK and this Ipad 3 will be my first apple product. I've heard good things in general about apples after care service regarding hardware faults etc.

My nearest official apple store is 80 miles away but I can buy one from apple online with free delivery or my local PC World computer store. Is there any significant disadvantage buying from, in my case PC World rather than the official apple store? For example am I better going direct to apple if I have a problem instead of going to PC World who then go to apple. Its a small issue but I'm interested in the pros and cons.

I've been a PC and android user but I have to admit the Ipad is a wonderful piece of kit. Thanks in advance for any advice or help.............

Hi there and welcome from the mainland!

It doesn't matter where you buy your iPad from as Apple will still look after you but if you want to buy direct you could always purchase online from apple.com........although there is nothing quite like buying from an Apple Store!

There is lots of good advice and info on here plus plenty of members all too willing to help with any problems.

Remember, search is your friend. Thanks Archangel, I agree. I've been in apple store and they do have a certain appeal and style but with petrol £1.40 a Ltr and its only a 5 mins walk to PC World my brain will rule my heart on this occasion.

I question, at present I use doggcatcher (£3.99) as my podcast app on my android phone is there a good Ipad podcast app?
