New to ipad

I just got an Ipad from my wife, Can I use it to totally replace my laptop?

I want to write, download and edit documents with MS word, excel power point etc. I also want to connect to projectors / tv and make presentations

Are all these possible?

Yes all this is possible on an iPad!

Hi Laja - welcome to the forum! :)

As already stated, your wishes can be granted up to a point - :thumbs:

Apple's iWorks offers equivalent programs to MS Office, but these iPad apps do not have the depth & functionality of their desktop equivalents (whether on a PC or a Mac); of course, there are other office suites that work on the iPad w/ plenty of discussion on the forum already in past years, so some searching will help.

Also, using the iPad w/ a TV or projector is also possible; might require some addition adapter hardware, and again do a little searching here or googling on the web - many options exist.

If not already done, my first suggestion if you plan to do a LOT of typing is to obtain a BT (bluetooth) keyboard - I own Apple's version but many others can be purchased. Good luck and let us know your progress!
