Hi I am Frances and have just joined. I have an iPhone 4 and an iPad. Love them both but was wondering where I could get free iPad virus software. Any body any ideas please?

Hi there Frances and welcome.
There is no need for anti-virus apps on the iPad, all the apps and OS are sandboxed to protect you. To the best of my knowledge there are no viruses in the wild which affect iDevices.
There is lots of good advice and info on here plus plenty of members all too willing to help with any problems.
Remember, search is your friend. If you can't find the answer you need and you post a question then give as much info as you can to help members help you i.e. iPad 1 or 2, etc. and iOS version and name of app if the problem is with a specific app........and please don't forget to read the forum rules http://www.ipadforums.net/forum-rules-help-info/2119-forum-rules-everybody-please-read.html

G'day Frances and also welcome to the forum. Don't bother! And what I mean by that is that you simply will not get a virus on the iPad. Because of its closed "sandboxed" operating system and apps-centric way of operating, you need not have any worries about viruses. Enjoy your iPad and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Tons of people here willing to help.
