Hello! My name is Bob, and I am 64 years old and retired. I enjoy studying and teaching the Bible (my favorite book), reading, music, motorcycling (Honda Interceptor and Yamaha FJR1300), driving my sports car (an MX-5, license plate 'ZOOMING'), hiking, and God's great outdoors.

I am a PC user, but I do own and enjoy the iPod Touch (4th gen). My next Apple purchase will be the iPad or iPad Mini, and I am currently trying to decide between the two. I will seldom (if ever) take it out of my house; nevertheless, I do favor the Mini's significantly lighter weight and more convenient size. Yet I find the iPad's larger screen appealing too. Decisons ..... descisions. If anyone owns both and can help me decide, please let me know. My primary uses for the Ipad will be web surfing and magazine reading.

Thank you, and it's good to be aboard.

Get the regular iPad not the mini if you'll be reading magazines. Mini screen is a bit too small for optimized mag reading.

Hi Bob, the smaller screen size becomes annoying after a while. Go for the full size, you won't regret it.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

I have both the ipad2 and the mini and love them both. I use the iPad 2 for more serious tasks but the iPad mini is just so easy and light. Sorry, not much help here, but if I had to choose I would go for the iPad 4.

3 very informative threads from which you will learn many tips and shortcuts for the IPad.
