Hey my name is Edda, I got an ipad for chrismas and I'm in love! But I am still learning how to used it, it's my first time on a mac too, so there is a lot to learn!

But I signed up here bc I have a small problem... My safari is not working properly all of a sudden! I can use the address bar and google just fine and it takes me to the pages I want to, but I can not do anything else! The pages have a gray hue over them, I cannot scroll, I can not use the bookmarks icon or tabs or anything... And it looks like the "bookmarks bar" is down, even though the safari settings on my ipad show that it is off. Maybe this is something really simple, but I didn't do anything and now I am seriously pissed off! I hope you can help me!

Hi Edda and welcome to the Forum!

With regards to the issue you're having with Safari when an app behaves strangely it is best to close it completely and then relaunch it. From the home screen do the four finger swipe up or double press the home button to reveal your multi task bar. These are all the apps that you have opened at one time. Long press the app until it jiggles and a red minus sign will appear above it. Press the minus sign, this will close the app, not delete it, now press the home button to return to your screen. It's also a good idea to close all these apps, as it helps the iPad run smoothly. Now relaunch Safari and let us know if it is working properly now.

Hi Edda-welcome to the forum.

Sorry you are having problems with your iPad. Give Leelai's recommendation a try and see if it gets you back in play. If not, post back and let us know.

Best wishes!
